Life is a series of painful or joyful moments, which follow each other in an endless cycle. Whenever pain comes near us, our only salvation is to seek places of beauty, joy, and peace. Wherever there is joy, our souls can heal.

Blog 2 | The magic van adoption

How wondrous and magical it is, the way heaven and earth work together to help us unveil ourselves.
Our origins cannot be denied or ignored. It will keep pulling at us until we give it the attention it truly deserves.
Peace must be made on both levels: the earthly and the soul level.

The thunderous call of Shiva and Archangel Michael: "Recognize who you are, recognize who you are", led me to acknowledge Mahalini as my Soul through embracing my human heritage.
Sometimes the path feels especially confusing, for example, when you move from one country to another through adoption and change your name.
I believe that great confusion often paves the way for an even greater magical revelation, as was the case with Jinny Middelburg.

She was given up for adoption by her mother in Korea when she was already three years old, which makes a big difference compared to a newborn, who is separated without knowing their environment or language.
Jinny’s greatest challenge is to make peace with her heritage through adoption.
I met her when she joined one of my programs.

“My Korean names are Ahn Jin Hwa and Lee Kyung Sook. My Dutch name is Jinny Middelburg. ‘What’s in a name?’ We are given a name in life, but it is the soul that creates our existence.
I was a three-year-old girl when I was taken from Seoul to live with my adoptive parents in the Netherlands. Being torn away from my familiar surroundings to live in a completely foreign country later caused me to suffer from severe depression and a deep sense of unhappiness.
I searched for my place but couldn’t find a home anywhere.
Nowhere was I truly happy.
And on top of that, I didn’t know who I really was.”

And on top of that, I didn’t know who I really was.”

This intense experience motivated me to search for my true self. Jane came into my life at exactly the right moment through her Hawaii Aloha journey. I now deeply believe in ‘divine timing.’
I had already done a lot of inner work to find balance within myself. Yet, it was only during the sessions with Jane that I truly realized how unsafe I felt on earth.
Through these sessions, the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.
I came to understand the roots of my depression and can now leave it behind me.
This is a great relief, as I had struggled with it since I was eighteen.

The greatest gift for me was coming home to my birth country, South Korea, and connecting with my biological mother.
This happened during a special meditation journey when I traveled to Korea with Jane.
Anger, sadness, and helplessness surged to the surface.
Only then did I truly realize how deeply uprooted I was. Both my family and my birth country, Korea, had, in my experience, betrayed me. I felt betrayed by my heritage.
This realization was deeply painful and had quietly impacted my entire being for years.

During the meditation journey, I received loving messages from Korea that helped me understand why I had to leave. Through this, I was able to heal my ties with my birth country.
Now, I dare to embrace my homeland again, allowing myself to reconnect and root deeply in my origins. I am now grateful to have been born in South Korea.
After healing my relationship with my birth country, I had to learn to release my deeply ingrained pain, anger, and sorrow.
That wasn’t easy for me.

Jane taught me to receive these lessons as gifts.
She offered guidance to help me heal myself and free my heart from the many layers that formed a protective armor.
She showed me how I projected my pain onto others, especially in my relationships.
I now feel safer on earth than ever before, allowing me to face life’s challenges with increasing ease. It’s an ongoing process, one where I’m building a solid foundation.
Because of this, I’m truly coming home to ME.
I’m learning to stand up for myself.
I feel more and more welcomed on this earth, and I am allowing myself to simply be here.

During the sessions, I discovered that I am here on Earth for a reason.
I learned that I was meant to be adopted because it served the mission I am to fulfill here. My mission is to help others rediscover the love within themselves through self-love.
To teach them to remember their joyful inner child, so they can live their most beautiful life here on this magnificent earth from that place of strength.

Every day, I first learn what self-love truly means so that I can one day share it as fully as possible.
My foundation grows stronger each day as I ask myself what I need, how to speak my truth, and remain true to myself.
I have learned not to be tempted into unconsciously meeting others’ expectations, because then I lose myself and drain my energy.
When that happens, I step out of life’s flow and become overwhelmed and exhausted.
I have learned to make different choices, and now I choose myself with love.
Welcome, beautiful life!

“Thank you so much, dear Jane Mahalini, for walking with me on my path. You truly embody the meaning of your beautiful name.”
(Jinny Middelburg (Ahn Jin Hwa and Lee Kyung Sook)

Just like Jinny, I came to live in the Netherlands from another country, and my name changed along the way. For me, the move was a conscious, planned step toward a new future, one filled with hope and possibility.
In both our journeys, the deep need to belong and feel safe on this earth has been at the heart of finding true happiness in our human lives.
